When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. Farr 7 is a 23-bed acute, medical unit. We take care of patients primarily admitted for general medical issues. The majority of our patients are admitted from the Emergency Department, and the Intensive Care Units, or outside hospitals. Our patients are admitted to the Hospitalist Service which is an attending covered service. The nurses work encompasses management of intravenous medications as well as oral medications, wound dressings, cardiac telemetry monitoring, management of central lines, parental nutrition, and at times tracheostomy care. Job Description: Essential Responsibilities including but not limited to: Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments. Responsible for systematically assessing the health care needs of individuals or groups and for the formulation of a care plan, its implementation and evaluation. Demonstrates the ability for decision making by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience in caring for patients.
