WI-SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Janesville Worker Type: Intern/Temporary (Trainee) Job Highlights: WORK SCHEDULE - Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM - Every 4th night call and 4th weekend call - Rotating holidays - 30-minute response time required Job Summary: Provided surgical tech care to patients within the student scope of practice under the direct supervision of surgical technologist preceptor or registered nurse. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Practices and implements the technical components of patient care. - Practices the preparation of equipment, supplies and resource needed based on the patient's plan of care. - P ractices accurate and timely communication of information to the Registered Nurse regarding patients in their care. - Practices the correct handling and labeling of all specimens. - Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. - Performs other duties as assigned.
