CURRENT HOLLAND HOSPITAL EMPLOYEES- Please apply through Find Jobs from your Workday employee account. This position generally works Mon-Fri alternating between Inpatient and Emergency departments. It has a holiday and weekend rotation as well. The Phlebotomist works under the general supervision of the Lab Preanalytical Manager and serves as an integral member of the Laboratory department. The Phlebotomist is responsible for the collection, ordering and submission of samples for analysis, while assuming responsibility for the preparation, safety and comfort of patients during the procedure. The phlebotomist is expected to possess strong communication skills, critical thinking and the ability to interact with multiple members of the healthcare delivery team. Basic computer skills is required to access computer resources in the Hospital Information System and the Laboratory Information System. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area.
