The Highlights: Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Learning Specialist for the Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD) will work with a range of students with disabilities; physical, visually and sensory impairments, traumatic brain injuries, learning disabilities, AD/HD, mental health disorders, medical conditions, chronic illness and the autism spectrum. The Learning Specialist will be primarily responsible for processing and enrolling new students, providing one-on-one academic support for a designated student roster, and designing and implementing workshops for students, faculty and staff to promote a holistic, inclusive learning environment. The Learning Specialist will collaborate with therapists, parents, University staff and faculty to provide direct supports and resources for student success. Assign student accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
