Job Description Job Summary**: Lead the design and fabrication of complex automotive components and systems for General Motors, ensuring high-quality prototypes and functional test vehicles. Job Responsibilities**: - Lead and execute the fabrication of prototype components, sub-assemblies, and complete vehicles using a variety of materials and manufacturing techniques. - Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to plan and implement fabrication processes. - Design and develop custom fixtures, tooling, and jigs to support fabrication and assembly activities. - Integrate instrumentation and sensor systems into test vehicles and components for data acquisition and analysis. - Perform mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of automotive systems. - Install, configure, and troubleshoot product electronics, wiring harnesses, and control systems. - Conduct and support test driving activities, evaluate vehicle performance, and provide detailed feedback for design improvements. - Collaborate with engineering, design, and testing teams to ensure design intent and functional requirements are met. - Mentor junior fabricators and technicians, providing technical g...
