Job description

Job Description Performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing, analysis, and associated interventions, under the general oversight of a clinician. Maintains and cleans equipment. Maintains required documentation. Job Responsibility: - Interviews patient and gathers patient history, physical information, medications, procedure requests and study protocols. - Identifies and assesses any signs, symptoms, special factors and co-morbid conditions. - Provides patient education, communicates procedure, and answers questions to ease apprehension and produce comfort and cooperation. - Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning. - Documents routine observations, including sleep stages, clinical events, procedural changes and other significant events in order to facilitate interpretation and scoring of polysomnography results. - Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment and education of all age groups. - Disinfects and performs preventative maintenance on equipment according to established protocols. - Complies with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures regar...
