This position assists with the coordination, preparation and delivery of emergency management training classes/workshops/seminars; assists in the calibration of response equipment and supplies provisions used day to day and in statewide emergency response; and provides purchasing and logistics support for related equipment and supplies day to day and during disasters. Duties include but not limited to: All VDEM employees are designated as essential personnel and may be required to work during emergency situations, such as inclement weather, and natural or man-made disasters/events as directed.
