Method Engineer / Design Coordinator (Dartford & Tunnels)

Job Description Overview: The role will be responsible for coordinating and managing design and construction activities across the two Dartford tunnels and QE2 Bridge. The role will provide technical input to challenge and propose solutions for upcoming projects including leading with method engineering reviews of design and framework subcontractors’ proposals. The working environment of the live operational tunnels and bridges provides multi-layered complexity for which innovative solutions are to be sought as we strive to improve safety by design. The role will support the CPS engineering team with design, design coordination, review Framework contractors’ proposals and manage external design consultants inline with the delivery priorities and programme. The role will require the individual to be able to both partake in design/method workshops for specific scopes alongside a regular (weekly) construction site presence to act as the interface between the site construction works and the design & engineering teams.
