About the unit Gerber Med Surg is 13 beds. 4 are observation and 9 are inpatient. The unit is currently undergoing a refresh, new paint, flooring, and artwork in the halls and patient rooms, in addition to a new nurse's station, breakroom and staff bathroom. Gerber Med Surg is home to our largest patient population and is a cornerstone of the hospital. We offer telemedicine services in pulmonology, neurology, infectious disease, and wound. Coming soon to Gerber are telemedicine palliative care services. We have MRI services 6 days a week, CT, fluoroscopy, general and orthopedic surgery, care management, medical social workers all on site, a huge push for the Gerber team is to help keep quality care local. Gerber ICU is 11 beds, 2 of those are observation beds, 9 are inpatient beds. The ICU is going to be refreshed with new paint, flooring, and artwork. It is a mixed unit, so Med/Surg and ICU patients are both present. We offer telemedicine services in pulmonology, neurology, infectious disease, wound, and VICU.
