Geoenvironmental Engineer – Senior Level (Hybrid)

Job description

The role – what you’ll do Barr is seeking a senior geoenvironmental engineer with experience in tailings management to join our Calgary office. This person will undertake challenging and progressive work focused on large-scale tailings management field programs and associated engineering analysis and design for complex projects with industrial clients in the oil sands and/or other mining industries. Project work will include providing project management and technical leadership on large-scale tailings management field programs; conducting tailings studies and assessments; managing and providing technical leadership for engineering studies and multidisciplinary design projects (including conceptual, feasibility, front-end, and detailed design stages); regular client communication and interface; working with clients and staff to prepare plans and execution strategies; preparing cost estimates; preparing formal proposals; writing and managing delivery of technical reports; participating in business development initiatives and client management; mentoring junior staff; and performing other duties as assigned by the company.
