NYBG J ob Description Title: Reports t o: Summer Library Circulation Intern Sr. Manager of Public Service Operations and Library Reference Position Summary: The NYBG Mertz Library seeks a curious and detail-oriented Circulation Intern to assist with a variety of tasks related to library operations, including shelving, special projects, and patron assistance. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a specialized botanical library, work alongside experienced librarians and staff, and contribute to the preservation and dissemination of botanical knowledge. The Library Circulation Intern assists with day-to-day tasks related to public services in a botanical library setting. With focus on reference, circulation, and collection maintenance, will gain hands-on experience assisting a diverse user group that includes outside researchers, NYBG staff members, students, garden members, and members of the public.
