IF YOU ARE HIRED PROVISIONALLY AS A MANAGEMENT AUDITOR, YOU MUST TAKE AND PASS THE MANAGEMENT AUDITOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAM WHEN IT BECOMES AVAILABLE FOR CONTINED EMPLOYMENT. The DSS Accountability Office (DSS-AO) is responsible for protecting the integrity of social services programs administered by the New York City Department of Social Services (DSS) and ensuring that DSS complies with all statutory, regulatory, and contractual standards. The Office of Audit Services (OAS) is responsible for the assessment of operational risk within the Agency and the coordination of the risk assessment process to ensure the integrity, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of HRA operations. Within OAS, the External Audit Facilitation Team (EAFT) has an overall responsibility for managing the external audit process, starting from the receipt of the engagement letter to the development of the Agency's audit response.
