Position Title: Security Officer Department: Security Job Description: General Description The Security Officer I provides a safe and secure environment for patients, family members, employees and guests by enforcing the security policies and procedures of OU Health. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position. - Patrol designated areas as assigned. - Write parking tickets for illegally parked vehicles. - Investigate complaints, disturbances and thefts by completing a concise and factual report in accordance with policies and procedures; may escalate significant incidents to appropriate personnel. - Operate two-way communication system to send and receive messages following appropriate radio protocol. - Record shift activities in designated logs or forms as directed. - Receive direction and mentorship from senior security officers to ensure compliance with OU Health security policies. - Assist law enforcement personnel to various hospital areas to monitor compliance with OU Health policy. - Provide outside la...
