Job description

Overview SMS is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Virtualization (VMWare) Administrator to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) on the Integrated Information Technology Support Services (I3TS) contract. This contract is a critical initiative to modernize and operate DTRA's enterprise IT systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing IT efficiency, security, and mission effectiveness by designing, implementing, and maintaining a resilient and secure network infrastructure. This role will be instrumental in supporting the agency's mission to counter and prevent emerging global threats. This sub family is responsible for installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of systems, including associated hardware. Responsibilities may include management of systems infrastructures, implementing best practices to Identify and recommend system functional specifications, configuration of physical and virtual systems, backup and recovery of IT infrastructure.
