Your job is more than a job The Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology provides medical physics services for patients who are prescribed to receive radiation therapy for cancer and other conditions. Ensures the safety and quality of care in the use of radiation-producing sources and imaging equipment. Oversees the radiation safety of patients and staff. Calibrates all radiation therapy equipment, conducts routine equipment and software systems performance testing, and implements procedures to ensure quality control of all radiation therapy planning, delivery, and imaging devices and software. Participation in clinical trials.
