Job description

Overview The Telecommunications Network Engineer - Senior position will provide network management, network operations, and network design, upgrade and installation support for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) enterprise network, ensuring effective daily operations and troubleshooting network issues as they arise. Responsibilities: - Support all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, and analysis. - Manage the evaluation and cost estimation of voice and data WAN services from telecommunications carriers. - Design access and backbone networks using carrier services, and help with the analysis and design of wireless voice and data networks. - Provide technical and administrative direction for personnel responsible for telecommunications network design, implementation, and operations tasks. - Provide recommendations, if needed, for approval of major network installations. - Prepare milestone status reports, and deliveries/ presentations on network progress to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives. - Troubleshoot, administer, configure, and maintain the following: - Automation of configuration tasks at scale using Redhat AnsibleINFOBLOX Grid Man...
