Job Description Litigation Counsel - Decatur, IL: This is an exempt level position. Position Summary: Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, Litigation, the Litigation Counsel will manage litigation and disputes for the Company, focusing on insured litigation and litigation practice management, including eDiscovery. Job Responsibilities: - Oversee a significant litigation docket of active cases. - Handle disputes in a proactive manner and anticipate and mitigate risks to achieve the best result for the Company. - Manage government and third-party requests for information related to pending or threatened regulatory inquiries. - Select and manage outside counsel efficiently while maximizing value and utilize innovative models to budgeting legal spend. - Report on litigation risk and reserves as part of Company’s financial disclosure process. - Provide eDiscovery legal support throughout the Company. - Partner within Litigation & Regulatory Law team to further litigation best practices and provide lessons-learned training to business teams and internal stakeholders.
