Job Summary The Supervisor, Health Information Management (HIM) is responsible for overseeing daily HIM operations and ensuring efficient workflow across core HIM functions, including record processing, deficiency management, and document imaging. This role supports the HIM Manager and/or Director and helps ensure compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body requirements. The Supervisor serves as a key resource for HIM staff, assists with performance improvement activities, and supports staff training and adherence to best practices. In the absence of the HIM Manager or Director, this role provides departmental leadership. Essential Functions: - Oversees daily HIM operations, including chart processing, EHR work queues, deficiency tracking, unbilled account reviews, and release of information, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. - Monitors HIM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and collaborates with leadership to develop action plans for areas not meeting performance standards. - Supports HIM staff through education, training, and hands-on assistance with workflow processes and system tools. - Serves as the departmental lead in the absence of the HIM Manager and/or Director, e...
