A Day in the Life: The Network Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient network infrastructures that seamlessly integrate both on-premises and cloud-based environments. This position requires equal mastery of conventional networking technologies and cloud platforms, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable connectivity across diverse workloads. Special attention is given to core networking protocols, DNS management, as well as advanced cloud systems such as AWS. What You’ll Do: Design, implement, and manage network architectures for both traditional on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring robust connectivity and performance. Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs for enterprise-level security and availability. Administer, optimize, and troubleshoot DNS infrastructure, including internal and external DNS services, addressing resolution and management for hybrid networks. Deploy and manage networking services within AWS, including VPC, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and Route 53, ensuring seamless interoperability with traditional networking.
