Duties and Responsibilities: Be able to conduct accurate, timely, and well-sourced research Be able to come up with timely, and unique story and guest ideas Be able to fully report stories emanating from briefings, new conferences, events, and statements Demonstrated ability to tailor reporting and storytelling to help explain complex topics to audiences on broadcast and digital platforms Demonstrated ability to organize field shoots, interviews, and live shots managing planning and logistics for the field team Be able to gather elements from affiliates, agencies, social media, etc. Be able to help build out live hits, segments, and packages including well-written broadcast scripts Be an effective conduit between the field team, the show team, and the assignment desk clearly communicating needs and expectations Be proactive about solving problems efficiently and effectively Cultivate sources which help cover up to the minute developments and break news from both houses of Congress Assist bureau management in daily and long-term scheduling of personnel and editorial planning Requirements & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Communication/Journalism or related degree required At least five...
