Landfill Gas Technician

Job description

Safely operate, monitor, and perform maintenance on Landfill Gas Collection and Gas Treatment equipment to ensure its ability to operate safely & efficiently. Key Responsibilities: a. Monitoring the collection field for proper concentration levels b. Complete necessary repairs to the collection system c. PM and repair gas conditioning equipment (if needed) a. Operational knowledge of Generator Switchgear a. Gas collection field data b. Start-up, Shut down & Maintenance logs c. Daily Plant Operational condition logs d. Calibrate and log monitoring equipment (if needed) Requirements: - Diagnose operational difficulties and notify Gas Plant Supervisor and/or vendor. May be required to make repairs to the Gas Collection System and Gas Treatment Equipment - Assist Gas Plant Supervisor and/or vendors with trouble shooting and operation of the Power Generation Equipment (if needed) - Complete reports, environmental agency records, order parts and perform other administrative duties as required. - Assist in the review of mechanical write-ups on equipment and coordinate repair schedule. - Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with all safety regulations. - Must be available for On...
