Description The Middlebury School of the Environment (MSoE) offers a six-week residential summer program in sustainability and leadership for undergraduates. The program is typically located in international locations, but in summer 2022 will be based at Middlebury Institute for International Studies in Monterey, California. MSoE draws upon an experiential model that includes problem and project-based learning about sustainability-related topics as well as environmental leadership training. We seek an environmental artist or media/communications specialist capable of teaching an introductory course in environmental art, media or communications. This course should be hands-on, field-based and draw upon local natural resources and sites in/around Monterey, California. Some materials and equipment are available, but the course should primarily draw upon inexpensive materials and readily available equipment for the creation of student products. Additionally, this instructor will co-teach a course titled Environmental Analysis.
