Salary: $23.38 - $35.08 per hour, depending on qualifications Schedule: Monday through Friday JOB PURPOSE: The WIC Medium Risk Nutritionist, under general supervision, performs work of considerable difficulty, conducts and documents nutrition assessments, nutrition education and counseling for health and breast feeding services/promotion and other duties essential for the operation of the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). The WIC Medium Risk Nutritionist is accountable to the following El Rio Health WIC Program specific goals: The primary goal of the El Rio Health WIC Medium Risk Nutritionist is to support El Rio’s Mission of providing comprehensive, quality health care that is affordable and accessible to all who may have healthcare needs, by successfully performing the primary essential functions. - Every participant is provided services utilizing the participant centered services delivery model. - Supports and promotes every mothers’ goal for breastfeeding. - Encourages and empowers families to incorporate healthy lifestyle choices supporting healthy growth and weight.
