Your Opportunity Stantec has an opportunity for a Senior Water Resources Engineer / Hydrologist to join our Environmental Services team in Atlantic Canada. The position may be based in Halifax, Fredericton, St. John’s, or other regional offices, with flexibility depending on candidate location. We are seeking a Senior practitioner to play a key role in advancing our Mine Water practice in Atlantic Canada, with a focus on surface water and integrated mine water management. This role is suited for a practitioner who leads from the front—driving technical excellence, shaping project outcomes, and mentoring developing staff—while contributing to complex mining projects across the full lifecycle. The successful candidate will lead technical delivery of mine water management services across all phases of mining projects—from environmental assessment and permitting through operations, closure, and long-term monitoring—while influencing project direction and ensuring high-quality, defensible outcomes.
