Job Summary This role is responsible for assisting pharmacist in filling prescriptions, security and accuracy of operations, and the delivery of medications to the patient. Duties and Responsibilities: - Provide and ensure excellent customer service to all pharmacy customers. - Follow all federal, state, DEA, pharmacy board regulations, safety guidelines, as well as policies and procedures of the pharmacy and AbsoluteCARE. - Input prescriptions for new fills and refill accurately per the prescriber’s order: (patient, provider, NDC, dosing, refills, dates, signatures, directions, drug-drug interactions, drug-allergies interactions and DAW coding). Prescriptions may be electronic, faxed or hand delivered. - Fill prescriptions and deliver them to the pharmacist for review. - Check electronic system throughout the day for electronic prescriptions and processing promptly. - Insurance processing, collecting accurate information, deductibles, coinsurance and copayments. - Patient billing, AR management, delivery and mail orders, phone call reminders, and mailing statements. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, demographics, insurance, and allergies. - Demonstrate a good wor...
