Job Description: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. - Provides individual, group, and family counseling to help clients identify and resolve personal substance use disorder issues. - Utilizes assessment and diagnostic tools and forms to gather information pertaining to client history to assist in developing accurate assessments and treatment planning. - Maintains accurate documentation of individual, group and family counseling sessions and activities adhering to established regulations and licensure standards. - Provides information to clients with substance use disorders and related issues through educational sessions which may include presentations, films, chalk talks, etc. - Consults with client referral sources on issues related to client treatment and therapy progress. - Provides a variety of indirect client services including writing correspondence on behalf of clients, submitting court reports, and making court appearan...
