City : Destrehan State : Louisiana (US-LA) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number : 45122 A Day in the Life: The primary role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and work quality by eliminating potential delays and obstacles through proper planning of the required materials, procedures, and resources for maintenance work. The planner is responsible for the planning of all maintenance work performed in the area to which they are assigned. The Maintenance Planner will keep appropriate records and files to permit meaningful analysis and reporting of results or completed work. What You’ll Be Doing: - Reviews and screens each work order to see that it has been properly completed. - Develops and maintains planned and predictive maintenance procedures as required. - Examine jobs to be completed and determines best way to accomplish the work. - Identifies and obtains (requisitions, orders, kits as appropriate and in keeping with procedures) materials, special tools and equipment necessary to complete the work. - Determines if critical items are in stock by verifying availability. - Estimates cost of each work order in terms of direct labor, materials r...
