Job Description: Candidates for this position must be available for the full summer camp season. This includes a mandatory week-long staff orientation beginning on June 15, 2026. Camp begins on June 22, 2026, and the final day of camp is August 7, 2026. This is a summer position in the Recreation Division that provides recreational activities for individuals with disabilities. The work involves providing one to one assistance with participants who are unable to independently participate in recreational activities and/or programs. General supervision is provided by Therapeutic Recreation Services. Essential Job Functions: Demonstrates initiative and enthusiasm in providing recreational opportunities to participants. Interacts and communicates with staff in adapting activities that are age and ability appropriate for participants. Provides one to one assistance and participates with assigned participants in scheduled activities, such as swimming, boating, field trips, structured classes and physical activities.
