Shot Blast Operator

Job description

This position operates a shot blast to remove rust and forged scale from the parts, small and large parts that are then processed to the specified work orders and customer needs in the Production and Quality departments. Starting Wage: $19.00: We offer a 2nd shift differential of $2.00 per hour and 3rd shift differential of $3.00 per hour - The Shot Blast technician is responsible for satisfying customer (next process) requirements of quality, production quantity and delivery, in a safe manner while maximizing productivity. - Oversees the shot blast process, including evaluating work orders, properly and efficiently setting up the shot blast and other required machines. - Call up materials based on production schedule. - Continuously monitoring/inspecting job for quality, packaging material per customer requirements, and cleaning the shot blast room and work area. - Safely operate a forklift to pull/lift baskets of manufactured parts to load and unload machine. - Implement effective team building skills and enforce company safety rules and regulations with the forging inspectors. - Organize material based on business needs.
