Job description

Under second degree of supervision handles telephone and written communications with customers in various functions of customer service work calling for a limited degree of judgment. Core Responsibilities: - Under second degree of supervision handles telephone and written communications with customers in various functions of customer service work calling for a limited degree of judgment. - Take requests for electric and gas service completing the necessary meter and service orders. - Take requests for electric and gas appliance service completing the necessary service orders. - Take trouble and emergency calls from electric and gas customers completing the necessary service orders. - Answer complaints and inquiries relative to billing, service and application of rates and the completion of necessary analysis work and other paperwork to complete these inquiries. - Perform credit and collection duties relative to customer accounts including arrangements for payment, deposits, accounts disconnected for nonpayment and other miscellaneous credit activities. - Perform other related or less skilled duties as assigned.
