F-16 Avionics Technician III - 18271 Description: Work Schedule: Monday through Friday Currently 1st shift, but must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift Description: Responsible for depot-level modification, upgrade, & test of aircraft sub-systems, ensuring airworthiness. Duties include, but are not limited to, inspecting, testing, modifying, and repairing avionic as well as other electrical systems/sub-systems. Examples include radar, radio, navigation, and aircraft power systems/sub-systems. What you will be responsible for: - Modifies, upgrades, inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs aircraft avionic and electrical systems, such as aircraft installed radar, radio, navigation, and power systems using hand tools and test equipment - Inspects components of avionic and electrical systems and equipment for defects, such as loose connections and frayed wire, and for accuracy of assembly and installation - Tests avionic and electrical systems under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness, using test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital meters and counters, and circuit analyzers - Using hand tools, adjusts, repairs, and/or replaces defective...
