Systems Administrator- Senior

Job description

Under limited supervision, responsible for activities related to Systems Administration and the integration with server operating systems and applications. May lead or mentor lower level team members. Applicants local to the San Antonio area are highly preferred. Although the position is primarily remote, the position may require on-site visits as needed. Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Linux systems to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability. Ensure systems are patched and hardened in alignment with organization policies. Develop and maintain automation and scripting to improve system consistency and operational efficiency. Provides systems management services, support, and product expertise for the implementation and knowledge transfer of server applications across the enterprise and various customer accounts. Provides tier 2/3 technical support and serves as systems person on-call for problem resolution. Provides root-cause analysis and documentation for system and application integration related problems and implements solutions.
