The Infrastructure Manager for the Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) in the Tickle College of Engineering is responsible for the department’s infrastructure and safety, which include the following: maintaining and coordinating teaching labs, research labs, and keeping department spaces/offices equipped and in good operational condition. serving as the department’s Lab Safety Advocate (LSA), developing and enforcing safety rules along with campus safety offices, overseeing safety training and safety record keeping for personnel to ensure regulation and policy compliance. overseeing the department’s parts store, mechanical shop, and non-IT procurement efforts (including staff supervision) Regular interaction with multiple stakeholders: visitors, administration, faculty, and students Coordinate with Facilities Services, vendor personnel, and any outside contractors to ensure building maintenance and job requests are executed appropriately and timely Oversee moving, installing, maintaining and commissioning of equipment in building Coordinate departmental laboratory commissioning and decommissioning Submission and tracking of work orders, coord...
