About This Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Research Fellow to join Sustainable Minerals Institute and lead impactful social, environmental and policy-focused research addressing the social dimensions of mining and resource transitions. In this research-focused role, you will build a strong externally funded research program, supervise Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates, and develop meaningful collaborations across academia, industry and government. You will join a collaborative and values-driven environment that supports innovation, interdisciplinary research and real-world impact. The successful candidate will bring an established national reputation, a developing international profile, and a strong track record in high-quality publications, competitive research funding, stakeholder engagement and research leadership. Key responsibilities will include: Leading and delivering a high‑quality, externally funded research program focused on the social aspects of mining, mine closure and resource transitions.
