Title: Assistant Attorney General, Education State Role Title: Assistant Attorney General Hiring Range: Commensurate with Experience: Pay Band: UG: Agency: Attorney General & Dept of Law Location: Office of the Attorney General Agency Website: https://www.oag.state.va.us/: Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties: The attorney will provide a wide variety of legal services to various education agencies reporting to the Secretary of Education. Together with other Section attorneys, the attorney will provide legal services to the assigned state agencies that report to the Secretary of Education, other than degree-granting institution of higher education. Additionally, this individual will provide other legal services to the Commonwealth as directed the Office of the Attorney General. Some travel may be required. Minimum Qualifications: - The successful candidate will have excellent analytical abilities and written and oral communication skills and be able to respond to legal requests in a timely fashion. - Excellent interpersonal skills are also required.
