Description The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles is actively recruiting a Transfusion Medicine physician to be part of a dynamic and collaborative group of physicians and physician-scientists. The Division of Transfusion Medicine includes a busy blood donor service as well as a state-of-the-art transfusion service, cell processing laboratory, and full-service therapeutic apheresis unit. All faculty hold academic appointments in the Cedars-Sinai Health System Professorial Program. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and have experience in all aspects of transfusion medicine including immunohematology, optimal use of transfusion components, therapeutic apheresis, including stem cell and immune effector cell collection and processing, as well as the regulatory requirements necessary to contribute to the operation and management of a hospital-based donor center and transfusion service. Faculty in the Division of Transfusion Medicine participate in resident and fellow education and conduct independent and collaborative basic, translational, or clinical research.
