Within the Tech Platforms team, Mozilla Common Voice is the flagship intervention to mitigate bias within AI - in particular by making it possible for speakers of the world’s 7000+ languages, and traditionally marginalized demographic communities, to be represented in AI training sets, and meaningfully engaged in building AI. Mozilla Common Voice is a data crowdsourcing platform that supports 300+ communities around the world, and to which more than half a million people have contributed.
