Safety Coordinator Metals USA - Gregor Technologies Division is seeking a Safety Coordinator in Torrington, CT. Metals USA is a solid, growth oriented aluminum/stainless steel distribution center servicing the defense, aerospace and fabrication industries. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the working conditions of the entire facility (to include but limited to: warehouse, office, external property and parking lots) to ensure that all activity is compliant with local, state and federal safety regulations. The Safety Coordinator enforces company health and safety guidelines, inspects workspaces and products to ensure compliance with safety standards and provides workplace safety training. Responsibilities: Certifications/Licenses: - Facilitates compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) guidelines. Implements OSH policies and develops programs to ensure enforcement of OSH policies. - Trains employees in all safety procedures and ensures daily adherence with procedures.
