Job Posting End Date 04-27-2026 Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date Job Summary: The Meter Electrician teams install and maintain self-contained electric meters in the shop and on customer premises. Job Description: What you’ll do as a Meter Electrician C: Read meters as required for field order and on schedule for cycle billing. Install, remove, change, disconnect, and reconnect meters. Test single-phase, network, and polyphase self-contained meters for proper operation and accuracy. Program meters. Perform Credit and Collections related to order including disconnect and reconnect for non-payment. Investigate irregular usage. Investigate energy diversion. Repair meters, meter sockets, and meter enclosures. Order, receive, ship, store, and inventory meter and associated equipment. Investigate self-contained service power quality problems, install event recorders, neutral testers, and produce reports. Program, test, and troubleshoot relay controls for capacitors, regulators, and reclosers. Install antennas and radios for smart grid devices. Perform work from ladders and elevated platforms.
