Salary is $6,480 - $8,270 monthly. **LATERAL INCENTIVE HIRING BONUS**: Thurston County Sheriff’s Office has been approved by the Board of County Commissioners to offer a lateral incentive for qualified Lateral Deputy Sheriffs, to include: Performs work under general supervision that involves the protection of life and property, the enforcement of laws and ordinances, the maintenance of order, and the investigation of crime. - 40 hours of vacation leave upon hire - 40 hours of sick leave upon hire - Starting annual base salary up to $99,237 - Laterals can apply for any open specialty assignments once 4-week field training is complete - Laterals with planned vacation leave at their current agency will be honored within current CBA limits DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: Employees perform varied first-level law enforcement duties.
