Title: Weights & Measures Inspector #00013 State Role Title: Compliance/Safety Officer III Hiring Range: $44,192 - $62,000 annually Pay Band: 4: Agency: Virginia Department of Agriculture: Location: MOBILE WORKERS SW: Agency Website: www.vdacs.virginia.gov: Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties: The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Office of Weights and Measures, is seeking an individual to serve as Weights and Measures Inspector in a territory that includes Hampton, James City County, Newport News, Poquoson, Williamsburg and York County the Duties include enforcing the Weights and Measures Law and related regulations; testing, inspecting, and determining the accuracy of weighing and measuring devices used commercially in Virginia including motor fuel dispensers and small capacity weighing devices; sampling of motor fuels; conducting point-of-sale inspections; investigating related consumer complaints; completing documentation of activities; and preparing investigative summaries as needed.
