Role and Responsibilities: - Label, receive, and process samples (blood, urine, tissue, stool, etc.) for clinical trials per specific protocol guidelines to include logging samples into and out of the department. - Request and receive tissue samples from outside pathology facilities. - Send tissue blocks to vendor to have slides cut and ship these slides to the study’s lab. - Label, receive, and process samples (blood, urine, tissue etc.) for clinical trials per specific protocol guidelines to include logging samples into and out of the department. - Record all data in specified forms per clinical trial (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility. - Enter data into departmental database. - Recognize discrepancies in the data on the samples and coordinate with the clinical staff to correct. - Organize and store all reagents according to safety instructions. - Maintain equipment and a clean and orderly lab environment. - Restock lab consumables at the end of the day. - Manage inventory of clinical trial supplies and kits as well as departmental supplies. - Administrative functions include filing, scanning, copying, and emailing of work documents. - Ship or store samples a...
