POSITION SUMMARY: The Mechanic provides a variety of maintenance services including installing, inspecting, repairing and maintaining equipment, machinery and building systems in proper working order. QUALIFICATIONS: -Building Maintenance Mechanic (Community College 2 year Certificate Course), or equivalent Certificate of Qualification, or equivalent combination of education and experience -Certificate of Qualification in a relevant mechanical/technical trade i.e. Millwright, Stationary Engineering, etc. -2-years experience/training relevant to the mechanical/technical trades -Ability to make calculations for installation and repair of equipment, and to assist other trades as necessary -Aptitude for working with things and objects, and servicing various equipment -Demonstrated knowledge of equipment and machinery typical to environment. with skill in welding and hydraulics -Verbal and reading skill is necessary to read and understand schematic drawings and technical manuals, pertaining to operation and maintenance of equipment -Must be capable of lifting heavy loads as well as constant standing, walking, and climbing ladders RESPONSIBILITIES: -Responsible to check and repair mechan...
