Description Description: Job Summary: To provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance and direction of the Clinic Provider (NP, PA, MD or DO). To implement components of the plan of care through performance of technical procedures and skills and performs secretarial/receptionist responsibilities as assigned. To perform job duties in accordance with the medical center's purpose. Responsible for venipuncture for lab orders, performing EKG’s and routing calls from the nurse line. This position assists with direct patient care under the direct supervision of providers. RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs or assists with certain treatments, procedures, approved and supervised by a provider and allowed by state law. May include performing EKG's, record strips, notifying physician or mid-level of change in EKG rhythm, assists with simple procedures, room set-up, suture removal. May perform a variety of routine blood drawing procedures, using standard equipment such as vaccutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, syringes, and butterfly needles.
