Primary Objective of Position: Displays a professional demeanor to all guests in the hotel’s food and beverage outlets including but not limited to the Restaurant, the Bar, In Room Dining, and Pavillion. Responsibilities and Job Duties: - Meet and greet guests as they arrive and depart, offer choice of seating, then escort them to their table and present menu. - Maintain proper set up of the dining room and cleanliness and standard presentation of all menus. - Promptly answer the telephone and input messages into the computer. Retrieve messages and communicate the content to the guest. Retrieve mail, small packages and facsimiles for customers as requested. - Receive, record, and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant. - Cooperate closely with other members of the outlet team including servers and kitchen colleagues. Act as a liaison between the guest and other hotel departments. - Responsible for assisting in inspecting linen, china, silverware and condiments. Clear all tables during and after meal periods.
