JOB DESCRIPTION: Plant Controller Summary: This role is a senior-level accounting/finance position focused on plant financial management, reporting, and analysis within an automotive manufacturing environment. General Accounting & Close: - Lead monthly, quarterly, yearly closes - Prepare and review journal entries & accruals - Perform balance sheet reconciliations and prepare additional journal entries. Adjust Balance Sheet Accounts for Accruals - Prepare and Validate trial balance & financial statements. Able to explain Financial Statements - Define allocation methodology - Reconcile HFM vs SAP - Support audits and compliance (SOX) - Provide information about inter- and intra-company discrepancies Management Reporting: - Perform variance analysis (actual vs budget/forecast) - Analyze performance by plant/platform - Provide insights to local leadership - Create and distribute management reports Cost Accounting/Inventory Accounting: - Manage inventory valuation and movements - Reconcile physical inventory - Analyze inventory variances and losses - Maintain inventory accounting processes Finance: - Support tax, accruals, and financial controls - Monitor operational financial performa...
