The Hemodialysis Technician will provide safe and effective hemodialysis treatments to patients with ESRD. They will initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis treatments. Responsibilities include: · Following established protocol, initiate and discontinue hemodialysis treatments for patients with ESRD. Daily RO water testing. · Review and follows standing hemodialysis orders relating to dialyzer, dialysate bath, sodium modeling, access cannulation, length of treatment, dry weight, blood and dialysate flow rates. · Assemble all dialysis equipment and prepare for use following unit procedures · Check all safety features on the equipment to ensure proper functioning. · Discontinue dialysis; remove access needles and establish hemostasis. · Monitor patients during tre...
