Job description

Leidos is seeking a Electronics Engineer to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Headquarters in Washington D.C. This is a virtual position and the candidate may live anywhere within the United States. Telework is 100% with business travel estimated to be 25% - 35% of the time. Primary Responsibilities: Duties may include, but not limited to: - The research, development, and implementation of either satellite-based navigation, ground-based NavAids or visual/lighting systems. These navigation systems are required for establishing and maintaining safe, efficient and cost-effective operations in the National Airspace System. - Conducts complex independent and inter-dependent engineering studies (i.e., feasibility, life-cycle costing, efficiency, risk analysis, cost benefit, and other engineering economic studies.) and brief upper management/stake holders on a regular basis. - Prepare transition plans, testing plans, and training plans, and coordinate the implementation of transition plan elements with all affected stakeholders. - Provide engineering system design packages for installation i...
