Mechanical Engineer – Mid Level – Gas Pipeline Focus (Hybrid)

Job description

The role – what you’ll do Barr is seeking a mechanical engineer to join our team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In this hybrid role, you will manage and perform engineering tasks for gas and oil pipeline projects, including station upgrades, relocation and protection of existing pipelines, routing of proposed pipelines, pipe sizing, documents, and trenchless construction design. Qualified individuals will have strong engineering design experience related to pipeline systems engineering, system integrity, and construction or experience related to piping in the natural gas, liquefied natural gas, and oil sectors. This person will help develop our presence and assist with establishing our capabilities related to natural gas pipelines. A successful person in this role will have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. They must possess a flexible working style and be willing to occasionally modify their schedule to meet deadlines and/or client needs.
