Livestock Handler 3rd Shift

Job description

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for working with livestock which includes but is not limited to; Driving sorting weighing tattooing marking and penning of livestock while keeping accurate inventories and head counts; Operating the hot-scale and Bio Q; performing light building maintenance and showcase duties when not working with the livestock. This position requires moving hogs safely and effectively with minimum stress to the hog; must follow all humane handling guidelines as per policy; perform any other duties deemed appropriate by the supervisor. All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Preferred Experience: Prior experience working with and handling livestock in loading and unloading operations as well as experience with skid loaders and forklift operation. Basic experience with livestock handling in a procurement area of the meat industry is preferred.
